Hello friends!  We are so glad that you have taken the time to visit our web site.  Let us tell you a little about ourselves and our company.  Tammy and I were born and raised in Northern Iowa; a beautiful, peaceful part of rural Iowa.  This tranquil setting is what we call our home and where we often draw our inspirations for the quilts and fabrics that we design.  Tammy and I first became acquainted while we were both employed by a local grain elevator.  We instantly became friends...sharing secrets, lots of laughs and even a few tears; but that is what friends do!  Our lives changed, our jobs changed, but our friendship endured.  In 1998, we decided to become business partners---the year that Joined at the Hip was formed.  We are often asked how we came up with the name for our company.  Actually, our husbands were the ones who inadvertently gave us the name.  If Tammy's husband didn't know where she was, he would call my husband...as both men knew we were usually together.  They joked that we were "joined at the hip".  We thought the name really evoked what the core of what our business is about.  We've always valued the friendship aspect of our relationship more than the business relationship. We both feel truly blessed to be doing what we do and we thank you for your support!
